New IPS Alpha Panel Design
Superb motion-image response has been achieved by narrowing the gaps between the liquid crystal cells and modifying the liquid crystal materials in the IPS Alpha Panel. This new design offers inherently better high-speed response. An original Panasonic drive system also minimizes the mutual interference between left and right-eye images. As a result, crosstalk is greatly reduced, and 3D images are incredibly clear.
EASY IPTV™
Simply press the VIERA Tools button on the remote control to directly access a variety of Internet services. Enjoy online music and movies with ease.

LED Backlight
This system places LED backlights on the top and bottom of the panel, and sends the light toward the center of the screen. Using light guides and diffusers, it distributes the light over the entire panel to provide backlighting. There is no need to cover the entire rear surface with LEDs, so the panel module is thinner and a great deal of energy is saved.s
Intelligent scene controller
Enjoy realistic starlit skies right in your living room. Improvements in panel contrast and scene-adaptive contrast gamma correction have achieved a high contrast. The backlight tuning area is also expanded to achieve deeper blacks.
DLNA / Wi-Fi Ready*
Connect a DLNA-compatible VIERA and DLNA-compatible AV equipment to your home network, and you can watch movies, listen to music, and view photos from any room in the house. VIERA's Wi-Fi capability gives you even more layout flexibility.
